As the demand for shark fin products shows no sign of slowing, tens of millions of sharks are slaughtered every year.
This cruel and inhumane massacre (many sharks are finned and then thrown back into the water to slowly die) is pushing the great fish to the very edge of extinction – threatening to empty our oceans and destroy marine ecosystems.
AGS believes that everything begins with a single individual, no matter how big the problem seems to be …so you can do you part to help in many ways!

You may have noticed our latest advert for the Shark Campaign (see the latest ASIAN Geographic magazine)… So how does it work?It’s simple, the more people pledge against shark fin soup, the faster the demand dies out and the sooner the sharks can live! In terms of a visual display, the soup spoon is currently on a large scale (just like the problem) but as every issue of ASIAN Geographic goes to print the number of supporters will increase and so will the number of names on the page… resulting in less and less space for the spoon and releasing the shark back into the ocean where it belongs!
