Our Projects

For ASIAN Geographic Society to be successful in its mission to conserve the environment, wildlife and supporting social causes, we believe that sustainability of our projects and exit strategy are paramount. Our Society look forward to working with community leaders, academics, government officials and other partners so as to meet every objective and effectively run our projects. We want to be the voice for Asia, carry out projects that benefit Asian communities and by doing so, we hope that Asia is always preserved with its myriad beauty and cultures and sustainable living.

Current Projects

Projects: Borneo's Orangutans
The river catchment area of Central Kalimantan is an important habitat for Orangutans (Pongo Pygmaeus). As many as 3,000 Orangutans of subspecies Wurmbii populate the 2,800 kilometer square area according to the National Orangutan Action Plan 2007–2017 and PHVA 2004.
Projects: Beach Clean-up
We know that striking a balance is important, we decided that eco and environmental projects should encompass both above and below waters.
